Galardi | Bowen Plastic Surgery specializes in surgeries, treatments, and procedures that help our patients look as good as they feel. One of our most frequent complaints are around our patients chests, so we thought we’d answer some of your most common questions about the girls.
What is a breast augmentation?
Commonly referred to as the boob job (or as we like to call it, the tude job), breast augmentation is plastic surgery in which your doctor makes a small incision on the breast and inserts implants to increase their size, even out shape, and add volume.
How much does a boob job cost?
Typically the entire procedure will range from $4,000-$6,000. Schedule a free consultation to discuss the details with our knowledgeable staff and learn what’s included, and what affects the total cost.
Can I choose my implant size and type?
Our initial consultation is the time for you to tell us exactly what sort of results you’re looking for-size, type, incision, etc. Depending on what you tell us, we may recommend silicone implants or saline implants, but ultimately all of the decisions are yours. We want you to love your new look, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure that you walk out of our accredited surgery suite with a smile on your face.
What if I am not happy after my surgery? Can my implants be adjusted?
We strive to thoroughly consider and discuss every aspect of your results, but sometimes there’s no substitute for seeing it in real life. If you’re unhappy with the size or appearance of your saline implants, we may be able to adjust them. However, silicone implants are a fixed size and cannot be adjusted.
What is the recovery time and will I have scars?
Breast augmentation surgery typically heals within a week, although we recommend an additional week of avoiding strenuous activity. After a month you’ll be back at the gym, feeling-and looking-fabulous.
What is a breast lift?breast lift surgery
Frequently paired with breast augmentations (boob jobs), breast lift (mastopexy) procedures can restore volume, even out asymmetry, and improve overall appearance. A breast augmentation with a lift can work wonders for a woman’s silhouette, and self-confidence.
How long does the procedure take?
Breast lift surgery usually requires 2-3 hours and is performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia.
What is the recovery time & will I have scars?
We recommend taking a week to rest and recover, followed by a month of regular activities but nothing too strenuous.
What is a breast reduction?
A breast reduction is a bit like liposuction for your chest. Many women suffer from breasts which are disproportionately large for their bodies, often causing pain to the back, shoulders, and neck.
Is breast reduction surgery covered by insurance?
Wondering how to improve your chances of getting breast reduction surgery covered by insurance? Sometimes all or a portion of the costs associated with breast reduction surgery are considered restorative, not cosmetic, and are covered by medical insurance, when the patient has demonstrated that the procedure will improve their quality of life. Talk to your primary care physician about the pain you experience and don’t hold back all of the ways your life is negatively impacted by the size of your breasts.
Can I choose my new cup size?
Of course! Just as with an augmentation or any other plastic surgery procedure, we encourage you to schedule a free consultation to discuss all of your desires, expectations, and questions. We want you to go into your surgery feeling confident and informed, and come out of it feeling totally amazing. To do that, we need to know what kind of results you’re seeking.
Will breast reduction surgery reduce the pain in my shoulders, neck, and back?
If you suffer from the pain of carrying heavy breasts, struggle to find bras and other clothing that truly fits all of you, feel uncomfortable in your own skin, and hate the stares and attention your breasts attract, a breast reduction surgery could be just the cure. By reducing the weight of your breasts, we can reduce the pain you feel and the discomfort caused by ill-fitting bras, bikinis, and other garments.
What is the recovery time & will I have scars?
Breast reduction surgery takes 2-3 hours to complete, followed by a week of rest and a month avoiding strenuous activity. The two most frequently-used incisions are:
Lollipop: One incision from the nipple down to the breast crease
Anchor: One incision from the nipple down to the breast crease, then a curved incision along the crease.
Both may leave scarring, which will begin to fade approximately a year after the surgery.
